These are the people mentioned on my blog. The names are the same as on Phoebe’s blog, though our descriptions are quite different.

  • Aiden – My brother, the youngest MacIntyre. Stubborn, fiery redhead with a prominent Scottish temper. He is tall, lanky, and if he hadn’t decided on engineering, he could easily be the next Dog Whisperer.
  • Alex – a young man in the singles’ group at church. Turns rocks into fountains and homes and stuff. Fun guy.
  • Andrea – The youth pastor’s wife at my church. Fantastic counselor, loves each of us dearly. Possibly Wonder Woman.
  • Andy – Human puppy friend from college. He says Christ Pratt is his spirit animal. I say he’s like a lab torn between chasing two tennis balls at once. Nice, hyper, knows every person in my life from completely different places. It’s weird. Roommates with my co-worker, Ian.
  • Calliope MacIntyre– Me! The crazy author of this blog who alternates between a 50-year-old and a 6-year-old with no warning.
  • Charlie – A young man in the singles’ group. He has a wonderful singing voice, an excellent wit, and works in business. All around goofy guy.
  • Deb – Youth activities director turned soon-to-be missionary to Peru. She’s pretty cool and stuff. No one knows how to run a children’s program like her.
  • Eli – Phoebe’s older brother. The Cyclopes.
  • Emily – Girl in our group who I went to Europe with, also about 3 years younger than me. Stubborn, petite, and by far the geekiest one among us.
  • Fay – My sister. Introverted, quiet, fiery redhead. Has a penchant for trees, plants, scrapbooking, and all things Irish.
  • Georgia – The only one using a real name: the dog. She’s a lab-spaniel mix we adopted at about 8 months old. She was abused by her previous owner, and is thus neurotic. Sweet, loving, queen of being in the way. It’s a good thing she’s cute because the elevator doesn’t reach the top floor. Obsessive about frisbees, tennis balls, and forbidden from touching soccer balls anymore.
  • Grandma – Hopefully this doesn’t need clarification. She’s a worrier. She alternates between “let me feed you” and “you need to watch your weight” in the same sentence. Believes everything on The Doctors. Over 80 and very independent.
  • Ian – Co-worker, roommates with Andy. Graphic designer, chill, really friendly.
  • Indy – So named because we called him Indiana Jones in high school. The youth group’s fearless adventurer then, and now our own personal mountain man. He drives a Jeep, teaches rock climbing, works with animals of all sorts, cares about everyone, all around sweet, nice guy.
  • Jo – Phoebe’s younger sister (elder of two younger sisters actually.) Sings, shouts, extroverts, and generally lifts our spirits. Appreciates chocolate, music, and guys.
  • Keith – A nice guy at our church who has the unfortunate habit of disappearing into the background. He’s not bad, he’s just doesn’t stand out in any way. Phoebe’s parents decided he was the one for her. She disagrees. I agree with her. And laugh.
  • Laura – One of Fay’s dear friends. She’s short, spunky, and quirky. Into American History, tea, and books. Also does American Revolutionary War Reenactments. Indy’s little sister.
  • Makenna – Co-worker, side-kick, amazing woman of God. We’re thick as thieves at work, help each other along, and generally just support and encourage each other. She’s my work bestie/mom. She struggles with a litany of health issues, but also has one of the most godly outlooks of anyone I know. (Alias may change).
  • Matt – Our amazing youth pastor. Tarheel stuck in the mitten. We sort of adopted him and he us when we joined the church. Loves basketball, and is learning that the singles group is not the same as the youth group. Poor guy.
  • Meg – Phoebe’s mom. Photographer extraordinaire.
  • Nicole – Bubbly, vivacious, genuine, and sweet. Nicole is simultaneously the most confident and most self-conscious person in the world. She tops it all of with intensely curly hair, beautiful blue eyes, and two dashes of crazy to keep things interesting.
  • Nina – The youngest Morryce sibling. Basically a forest fairy or elf. Aiden’s girlfriend, and long-time best friend. They still have Nerf battles on a regular basis. She doesn’t care what anyone thinks, and I admire that.
  • Oscar – Sweet, if a bit odd, member of our group who genuinely cares about everyone. Also works with Phoebe.
  • Phoebe Ava – My bestie, though neither of us exactly know why. We have little shared interests, differing opinions on nearly everything, and are thick as thieves and inseparable. She’s stubborn, headstrong, determined, and very caring. Sarcastic, and with a glare that could cut steel, she spends most of her free time tending her garden, reading, or writing books.
